OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
From large scale renovation and restoration projects, to design consultations and one room makeovers, we love working with you to transform your home into a space that you love.
At Frances Lauren Interiors, we define our style as Easy, Elegant Interior Design. We create spaces that convey warmth, authenticity, and an easy and comfortable elegance, all while creating a home that is uniquely tailored to our clients.
Located in the West Midtown area of downtown Atlanta, we serve clients in the Greater Atlanta metro area, and across the United States. Our current projects include homes in Vermont, New York City, Florida, and the Atlanta area.
As the daughter of a self-employed graphic designer, I grew up sketching with colored pencils at my mother’s drafting table, and rearranging my bedroom. Art and design were always a part of my life, and I remember at 7 telling my Mom that I wanted to be “an interior designer of hotels, resorts, and spas” when I grew up.
I began my interior design career in 2003, working as an intern with two local interior designers in my hometown Tallahassee, FL. I went on to attend Florida State University where in 2007, I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and a concentration in art and architectural history.
After graduation, I pursued my dream and worked in hotel and restaurant design, traveling to job sites throughout the United States and overseeing new build and renovation projects for Marriott and other hotel development groups. I feel that these early working experiences helped to hone my skills in construction site management, project management and adhering to designated budgets and project timelines.
After several years I began to realize that while I enjoyed hotel and restaurant design, my primary passion was to design homes, and to build my own business. In 2015, while still living in New York City, I launched Frances Lauren Interiors with the vision to create warm, elegant, and authentic spaces that tell the individual story of each of my clients.
In early 2018, my husband and I made the decision to “come back home” to the south, so that we could be closer to our families. We packed up and relocated our lives and our businesses to Atlanta. Of all of the amazing places I’ve lived and experienced, there really is nothing more wonderful then coming home.
In addition to my interior design work, I have also developed a collection of bespoke home textiles and throw pillows, as well as a collection of original artwork. When I’m not designing, I love painting, baking, and visiting local coffee shops.
