At Frances Lauren Interiors, we define our style as Easy, Elegant Interior Design. We create modern homes with an easy and comfortable elegance.
Located in Atlanta, we serve clients in the Greater Atlanta area and across the United States, with a particular focus on the design and restoration of historic homes. Our current projects include homes in New York City, Florida, and the Atlanta area.
From kitchen renovations and design consultations, to full service interior projects, we love working with you to transform your home into a space that you’ll love for years to come.
As the daughter of a self-employed graphic designer, I grew up sketching with colored pencils at my mother’s drafting table, and rearranging my bedroom. Art and design were always a part of my life, and I remember at 7 telling my Mom that I wanted to be “an interior designer of hotels, resorts, and spas” when I grew up.
I began my interior design career in 2003, working as an intern with two local interior designers in my hometown of Tallahassee, FL. I went on to attend Florida State University where in 2007, I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and a concentration in art and architectural history.
After graduation, I pursued my dream and worked in hotel and restaurant design, traveling to job sites throughout the United States and overseeing new build and renovation projects for Marriott and other hotel development groups. These early working experiences helped to hone my skills in construction site management, project management and adhering to designated budgets and project timelines.
After several years I realized that while I enjoy hotel and restaurant design, my primary passion is designing homes. In 2015 while still living in New York City, I launched Frances Lauren Interiors with the vision to create warm, elegant, and authentic spaces that tell the individual story of each of my clients.
In the spring of 2018, my husband and I moved from New York City to Atlanta, so that we could be closer to our families. Of all the amazing places I’ve lived and experienced, there really has been nothing more wonderful than coming back home to the South.
In addition to my interior design work, I have also created a collection of home textiles which I frequently incorporate into my projects. When I’m not designing, I love painting, baking, and visiting local coffee shops.
