Friday Favorites: August 4, 2017
It's Friiidayyyyyyy! My husband and I are heading down to Florida this weekend (more on that to come) to visit family, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
Here are some Friday Favorites from this week. Have a wonderful weekend!
This is my go-to bronzer/blush for summer, and I thought I'd share it with you. It's both rosy and bronze which gives a well balanced color. You also don't need to use much product for a high impact. I apply this along my cheek bones for a more defined look.
2. Variety Coffee, 261 7th Ave, NYC
I went to scope out this new-ish location of Variety Coffee last week and was so impressed by the space. It's rare to find a good cafe in NYC with room to linger and an elegant interior, but this one fits the bill. I love all of the architectural detail and design elements here. And the coffee is good too!
3. Stockholm Armchair, Ikea
That's right...I said Ikea! Ikea was a dirty word when I was in design school. In my 10 years since graduating (!!), I've embraced the democratization of design and I've also come to appreciate Ikea, especially some of the limited edition collaborations they've done recently. This chair (with back facing us) caught my eye. I love the breezy materials and how textural this chair is. I would put a pair of these in a casual or beachy living room, or use this as a corner chair in a guest bedroom.
I just love this mirror. It comes in both this floor length style, and as a round mirror, and I think it's great both ways. I love the pattern and the contrasting bone inlay. I would pair this piece with other elements that are more refined or tailored, that way the funky and elegant can play off of one another.
