Happy Friday to you! I hope you've had a great week so far with even better things in-store for the weekend. It's been a busy one here in New York. I feel like I've had my nose glued to my desk all summer long, and I've hardly enjoyed those wonderful things that make summer so great. Time to get out there and make the most of these weeks we have left! Here are my Friday Favorites for this week.

[clockwise from top left]

1. Wayde Desk, World Market

I like this desk because it's smart and functional, and sometimes that's just what you need in a desk. The matte black finish with brass hardware is elegant and stylish. The drawer is the perfect size for storing pens and papers. And the great! I do see that there's a bit of a pattern on the desktop, so that's worth considering. If you'll be doing computing at this desk, it won't be a problem, but if you''ll need it for writing or drawing, I recommend putting down a piece of glass or a craft mat to give yourself a smooth surface.

2. Camille Monet in the Garden at Argenteuil, Claude Monet

After my Friday Favorites post last week, I inspired myself to return to the Met. My husband and I went for a date night last weekend, and had such a nice time. Usually when I go, I try and venture out to find something new (it’s not hard). I always find myself gravitating back to the impressionists though. This painting from Monet especially caught my eye this trip. The description says that he painted it at his vacation rental in south of France, which has me daydreaming about a long summer spent in France painting (one can dream). I love the lush feel of the gardens here, and how each brushstroke is purposeful and conveys meaning.

3. Court Street Grocers

I'll giveaway one of my favorite lunch-date-spots in the city. My husband and I love Court Street Grocers (LaGuardia Place location). All of the sandwiches here are delicious. You can't go wrong. Pro tip: for the same price, ask for your sandwich on a hero bun and split it with someone (or save half for later).

4. Crater Earrings by Lizzie Fortunato

These earnings keep popping up in my newsfeed, and I keep clicking. I mean, they're gorgeous! I'd go for either the slate color or the gold/light moss, then wear these out one evening with my hair pinned back so that I can show them off.

5. Rigmore Lamp, Madegoods

I'm loving these black and crystal clear striped lamps from Madegoods. They're equal parts playful and funky. I'd place these on nightstands in a guest bedroom, or put a pair of these on a midcentury style sideboard in a dining room.
