Friday Favorites: October 27, 2017

It's Friday! And today I've got some Friday Favorites to share with you. My husband and I visited the Hudson River Valley last weekend and it was just the refresher that I needed. Now we're back and I'm ready to enjoy all of the beautiful and wonderful things that New York City has to offer in the autumn. Happy weekend, all!

1. Hudson, NY

This is one of those places that's so special to me, I almost hate to share it. I'm pretty sure the word's already out on Hudson though. It's a cool, hip, gem of a town. My husband and I first visited Hudson last October to celebrate our 1/2 year anniversary, and we made a return trip just last weekend to celebrate 1.5 years. Yes…we’re still celebrating halves (the more celebrating, the better!). One day soon I’ll write a whole guide and include all of my favorite things around Hudson, but for now I’ll just say that at an easy 2.5 hour drive, it’s the perfect weekend getaway from New York when you need a breather.

2. House of Hackney, Limerence

I've begun working on new textile designs for a new collection of fabrics, and in my researching I came across this gorgeous swatch. I love this fabric from British textile group House of Hackney. It's got a great moody-tropical vibe, like a stormy day in Miami (honestly any day in Miami is a good day, in my book). This season I'm really loving florals on a dark ground, like a fall floral on a charcoal, navy or umber background. Beautiful.

3. Halle Cane Back Chair, Wisteria

As proven time and time again, I tend to love all things caned and this chair is no exception. This chair actually flashed across my awareness as a Facebook ad campaign and I clicked right away. I love the details, and can't wait to use it in a client's project. Or better yet, get it in my own home!

4. Faux Fur Throw from RH Modern

I picked up this steel grey faux fur throw from RH Modern about a year or two ago, and it's the perfect cozy accessory for when the weather starts to turn. I searched the market for a while before settling on this particular one. I love the texture and quality of this throw. We have it in the Graphite color, and it has the faintest hint of purple when the light hits it just right.
